Tzedakah Concentration Game
Objective:
In this game students match the numbers, 1 through 8, of the Ladder of Tzedakah and the Rambam's definition of each ladder step.
Directions:
Prepare a posterboard with 16 library pockets, labeled in Hebrew, alef through ayin. In each of the pockets place a 3" x 5" card written either with a number, 1 through 8, or a definition. Divide the class into two teams. The objective is to find the matching card.
Alternate Suggestion:
An alternate suggestion is to prepare 8 definition cards and 8 illustration cards. Each illustration card depicts another level of giving Tzedakah. Examples of cards:
One definition card may read: "To help by giving a person a job or helping to open a new business;" the matching card reads "8th step".
