Spin the Spinner and Say the B'Racha
Objectives:
Directions:
After spinning a spinner, the student correctly recites/chants the b'racha for the symbol in the picture which corresponds in number on the spinner. (If spinner shows #4 the student recites/chants the b'racha for lighting Shabbat candles.) In order to remain in the game, the student must recite/chant a b'racha each time he/she spins the spinner.
Alternative Suggestion:
Make a tape cassette of each b'racha, and number the tapes 1-6. Keep them in a classroom learning center. When a student is unable to correctly recite/chant a b'racha, he/she goes to the listening station, selects the correct tape with the b'racha he/she needs to review, and listens to it. The student then returns to the game and should be given the opportunity to recite/chant the b'racha.
